Ginkgo in Britain's forests, Chelsea Flower Show 2019

At RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2019 species that are better adapted to a future climate were shown in the Resilience Garden, designed by Sarah Eberle.

In future Britain will have species like Ginkgo and Monkey Puzzle trees in its forests. There is need to increase tree cover, diversify planting and follow strict biosecurity guidelines to help protect forest, gardens and landscapes from climate change, pests and diseases.

Resilience Garden starts at 1 minute and 46 seconds.

The garden has been awarded the Gold Medal and Best Construction Award and is supported by Forestry Commission, Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs, Royal Botanic Gardens Kew, Scottish Forestry, Scottish Government, Welsh Government, Gravetye Manor Hotel and Restaurant, Kingscote Estate.
