Hello!
"Among the foods traditionally prepared during the Lunar New Year, Jai seems the most complicated. It is also perhaps the most fascinating. Known alternatively as Vegetarian's Delight or Buddhist's Delight, the dish incorporates a wide selection of dried and fresh ingredients, all of which symbolize luck and success. Eaten on the first day of the Lunar New Year, which falls this year on Sunday, it should bring you good fortune in the weeks and months ahead."
* Added photos of Ginkgo trees in Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain, Russian Fed., Germany.
In my guestbook someone wrote a message about an experience with deer and Ginkgo leaves. I'd like to share it with you:
USA, Coquille, OR
The deer won't eat the leaves!
It's 5' tall and only been in the ground a year. I'm hoping that it will survive the
wet climate. It's well drained. IF it survives, it should become a very popular tree,
as the deer leave it alone.
That in itself should should establish it as a 'tree to have'!
In Kew “The Old Lions” are some of the few remaining trees, among which a Ginkgo, with the oldest actual known planting date of 1762.

Stained glass panel by Ichiro Tashiro, Japan. It is part of a panel made in 24 sections for ease of transportation. According to Tashiro's website the owner moves frequently and wants to have the panel all the time. It can be dismantled and assembled in less than 30 minutes.
A short description of the Ginkgo on the site of the National Arbor Day Foundation: "We envision a world where trees and forests are abundant, healthy, and sustainable, and highly valued by all people".
The FDA does not regulate supplements.
I added a page to my homepage with the titles of all posts on this forum-blog ordered by month. This will make it easier for you to choose a subject you want to read and/or react to.

I would like to have an adress in Holland where I can buy seeds of a Gingko tree, or maybe little tree all ready in pot. I got this question of a friend of me, he is living in Croatia-in the city Pula.
We are moving to a new house in southern illinois and there is a ginko tree. We have a pot belly pig and need to know if the seed will hurt her. thank you for any info you may have.
