Fukusada Great Ginkgo tree (Fukusada No Oicho), Hosen-ji temple, Tanabe, Wakayama, Japan. This tree is over 400 years old, height c. 22 m, girth 5.5 m, local and national treasure. At a point of four meters height the large trunk splits into a large number of small branches. The tree is therefore called a "thousand
branch" Ginkgo tree.
